In the 1950s and 1960s, computers were enormous machine affordable only by large organization. Now they come in a variety of shapes and sizes, which can be classified according to their processing power:

1. Supercomputer : Typically priced from $500,000 to more than $350 million, Supercomputer are high-capacity machines with thousands, of processors that can perform more than several trillion calculation per second.

2. Mainframe Computers are water or air-cooled computers that cost @5000 to $5 million and a vary in size from small to medium, to large, depending on their use.

3. Workstation are expensive, powerful personal computers usually used for complex scientific, mathematical, and engineering calculation and for computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing.

4. Micro Computer also called personal computers, which cost $500 to $5000 can fit next to a desk or an desktop or can be carried around.

5. Micro Controllers, also called embedded computer are the tiny, specialized microprocessor installed in smart appliances and auto mobiles
